Guzzler Air Vac Shaves DAYS Off Of Daylighting Job

Here’s a look at the process of preparing retired gas station fuel tanks for removal. Fuel must be sampled with a device called a bailer prior to removal to ensure what is being pulled from each tank. From there, the contents are pumped into a wet vac truck for transport. Intake can be viewed through an in-line site glass. As that product comes in, it is tracked with a device measuring in gallons. This process is repeated for each holding tank (if multiple) as the job requires. The product is then transported to appropriate facilities for disposal.

This particular drain has been addressed by multiple companies before Fauste was brought onto the job. The matter was so heavily compacted that it was causing flooding to occur in the neighboring gas station and the previous company’s attempts did not resolve the issue. Within minutes, the Guzzler had the drain back to original working order with no damage to the infrastructure below.

Fauste Oil Services is able to empty and remove above and below ground storage tanks. On this specific job, the client needed three large storage tanks pumped of fluid and removed. Not seen is our Wet Vac truck removing the remaining liquids from the tanks before the tanks are touched as to not risk spills. From there, an excavator is used to load the tanks onto our flatbed to be transported.

Eastern Kentucky was hit with historic flooding in March of 2021. Thousands of family homes and businesses were destroyed in its wake. Thankfully, volunteers and Fauste employees jumped in with the Fauste Guzzler Vacuum Truck to help with water and debris clean out.
